Goodbye Summer
Thank you for another excellent summer at the library! There will be no Story Hour or After-School Programs in August so our youth services team can have time to prepare a great schedule of fall programming. See you in September!
July Board Meeting Rescheduled
The July 2024 meeting of the Marshall County Public Library Board of Trustees will be held Thursday, July 25, at 11:30 in Meeting Room A of the 1150 Birch Street location. Included in the agenda will be review of bids for an outreach vehicle and the outdoor meeting space.
Outdoor Meeting Space Bids
A pre-bid meeting for the Marshall County Public Library Outdoor Meeting Space will be held in Meeting Room A at the library's Benton location (1150 Birch Street) at 10:00 a.m. on July 11, 2024. Deadline for bid submission is Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
Changes Coming to Hoopla & Hotspot Services
As of the new fiscal year (July 1, 2024), the Marshall County Public Library will be making changes to two of their services in order to best utilize tax funds
Tara Irvan Graduates from Leadership Program
Tara Irvan, librarian at the Marshall County Public Library, graduated last week from Leadership Marshall County, a program designed to develop leaders within the county that help facilitate its growth and development.

MCHS Partners with MCPL's MakerSpace
The Marshall County Public Library partnered with students in the Marshall County Leadership class this semester to create three student-designed and student-made projects for their schools.

The Marshall County Public Library has been recognized by United Way of Western Kentucky as Nonprofit Supporter of the Year for collaborating with the goal of growth in the community.
MCPL Director Named KPLA Chair
The Kentucky Public Library Association (KPLA) proudly announces Tammy Blackwell, Director of the Marshall County Public Library, as its newly appointed Chair. Blackwell's appointment was made official during the organization's annual conference held in March.
