The Morganville Vampire Series by Rachel Caine
Review by Miss Katelyn

Everyone who’s in LOVE with Stephanie Meyers, you just found a series to hold you over until Stephanie graces the world with the next book in the saga, but not to worry, Rachel Caine may have second place, but Stephanie’s still fighting J.K. Rowling for the top spot, and no one can take it from either of these two literary superstars.

Morganville is just a quiet, Texan college town, granted the college is a party school, until the sun goes down, and then Morganville becomes Vampville. Claire Danvers is out of the house for the first time and experiencing all that college has to offer, plus a few unpleasantries, and books, lots and lots of books. Our freaky genius girl reluctantly agrees to a year at PTU to satisfy her worrying parents, and then it’s off to MIT or CalTech, who says a girl can’t dream? Her first semester puts her dreams to the test when she moves into the Gone with the Wind meets The Musters mansion, becomes instant best friends with its inhabitants, and a little more with one of them, and learns to survive the dark secrets of Morganville, the last safe place for vampires.

Best yet, all of the books, three so far with the fourth coming in June, keep your eyes glued to the page waiting to see who’s going to do what next.
