The
Children of Hurin by J.R.R. Tolien
Review by Eminiann
How would it feel to know that
because of evil in the North your whole family had been cursed? This is
what happened to Turin, son of Hurin and his sister who goes by Lalaith.
He lives happily as royalty and has even made a friend, a crippled elderly
woodsman. From here everything goes wrong, a plague strikes the land
and poor little Hurin falls into a deep fevered sleep. When he awakes his
life is changed forever and he finds he alone can pick up the pieces but
things just keep going wrong. This is such a tragic tale that I can
only give it a 3. |
