Fanboy is a nerdy outsider that draws comfort from the graphic novel that he's writing and the bullet he carries around in his pocket.  Goth Girl is equally an outsider, but more of her own choosing.  They're an unlikely pair with a complicated relationship.  Don't go into this expecting a cutesy love story, because you will be very disappointed.  But it does offer some excellent insight into the teen psyche and lots of cool comic book references.
