this, the first of the Darkest Powers series, Chole suddenly finds herself
staring in the half-melted face of a ghostly janitor at her school.
So, what is a girl to do? Run screaming, of course. Which
promptly lands her a spot in Lyle House, a home for teens with mental
health problems. Except, she soon discovers that there is more to
Lyle House and its inhabitants than she first realized. The
Summoning is a fun, if somewhat predictable, read. Find
